Increase HP on s70a S70 1998

What are my options to increase HP on my s70t5a. Right now it is all stock. Also, am I playing with fire (potentially shortening the life of the vehicle) by doing this? It presently has 71K miles.

Search the forum for Chip, several options, easy 50 - 70 hp upgrade. All you add is cash. IPD is one source.

I assume this is a non-turbo engine. My first advice would be to dump is for a turbo. The non-turbo options are limited and expensive, which makes you wonder how much money you want to spend on a car that's worth around $10,000. But this site has a discussion and links to the various chip, exhaust, and throotle body providers.

My mistake. It is a turbo t5. I'll check the site out.
