"03 V40 34000 Mi

I have had my new V40 for a year and a half. I have had 6 new headlights put in and a couple other tail lights. Is this normal? Sounds crazy to me.

I would check the alternator voltage. I just had an overvoltage problem (regulator failed), and everithing burns out quickly!

common problem if you have daytime running lights DRL.

Disconnect the DRL feature and you"ll be OK.

don't know about your 2001,

but in my '98 v70, there is a small slot in the headlight switch to disable DRL's.
