Upgrading the leather seat in my 850 for a later model 70 series 850 1996

The heated driver's leather seat in my 96 850 wagon is shot. Whoever had it before was big and let it sit in the sun with the windows closed. Too late to save the leather with Lexol. I would like to replace it with one from a later model 70 series, but I don't know what years and how new a model S-V-70 I can take one from and still have it mount and connect electrically with minimal problems and, still match the passenger side. Color is light tan. Dick

The only possible compatible seat from a 70 series would be a 98. They still use the mechanical side air bag. Mounting is the same.

Dick,

You can probably restore the leather with Leatherique.

Have a look at their site: www.leatherique.com.

Another excellent restoration products supplier is Color-Plus.

Their web address is: www.ColorPlus.com.

The leather in Volvos is fairly decent and usually worth trying to save.

Bryan
