Hello,

I have a '99 XC, with the owner's manual. But I would like to buy a service manual, such as Haynes or Robert Bently, or Chilton's. To my knowledge none of these publishers put out a sevice manual dedicated strictly to the XC.

Does anyone know of such a manual? If so, please tell me: the name, the publisher, the cost and where I can get one. Thanks to all who reply

    Hello Hugh: I was going to suggest the Chilton Coupre/Sedans/Wagons 1990-98 Repair Manual. I bought mine at Wal-Mart of all places! There are many common assemblies in the cars covered. If you're willing to pay the high cost, then Volvo did offer a version of their VADIS system from their web site, but I cannot find the link. I did go to the volvocars.com site and found a new feature that can supply, online, car documents starting with 1965 up to 2005. This might be a bit of assistance for you or anyone who has lost their owner's manual. Good luck.

      Thanks. It's my understanding the "Volvo" manuals are very expensive and very technical (probably way over my head in terms of ability and tools). But thanks for the tip on the Chilton book. I'll look for it.

        Don't waster your money on the Chilton book.
        I have a 98XC and this book covers very little of it.
        It is more suited for the pre 98 wagons and sedans.
