Poor college student needs help. 850

Greetings all. I have a 94 850 5-speed and I need to replace the front struts and rear shocks. I have read all the post about how wonderful the Koni and Bilstein HD's are, however I don't feel like spending the extra $. (Still in college) I talked with some guys I know at a really good and trustworthy foreign repair shop, and they said the extra $ for the HD's for a car as old with as many miles is a waste. I'm about 90% sure I am going to go with the Bilstein Touring Class products ($77 per front strut, $36 rear shock). I am also considering (the other 5%) buying Sensa Trac products from Monroe. What are people's opinion on the Sensa Trac V. Bilstein TC? I live in Mi, where the roads are real bad. I still have the stock 15 inch tires, and just looking for the best overall shock/struck from under $100.

On another note, what else should I replace while I take-apart my car durning the holidays. I intend to replace the strut/shock mounts and bushings when I replace them. I also thought I should do my sway bar busings and links. Any other suggestions on things to replace before I place my parts order? Thank for everything.

My personal opinion, I've never liked a single product that Monroe has made, and I've used their shocks on a few cars in the past. I've heard the Bilstein touring are decent, not nearly as good as their other products though, apparently they are made for Bilstein by another manufacturer. Not sure if this is true, it's just what I've read on this board.

I'm doing mine this weekend to. I went with the OEM Sachs parts, price was good and I don't want anything special handling wise from this car, it's just my daily driver. I got new rubber mounts for both the back and front to go with them. I would agree that the sway bar end links are a weak spot on this car. Mine were replaced right before I bought it, so I can't really say what they are like when bad, but I've heard a few people say they wear out regularly and make an awful clunking noise in the front end when bad. I've got a motor mount to replace while I'm under there as well.

Other 5% 850

Sorry guys, I just looked back at the message, and saw I said 90% and then said 5% for the Sensa Trac. The other 5% would be for the Sachs/Boge. From what I have heard, they are the same and OEM. I still don't think I want to spend the money for those though since the TC's are cheaper, and sound similar. Thanks.
