Anti-seizure compound on spark plugs? V70-XC70 2000

I recently replaced the spark plugs and had some trouble to unscrew the old ones. Quite a lot of effort was needed due to carbon deposites in the threads. I am worried the threads in the head took a lot of punishment.. Would it be a good idea to use copper-based anti-seizure compound on the new plugs? Is there any negative side-effect? Or is it a better idea to unscrew the plugs at 50% of the service life just to clean the threads? Any suggestions?

Best regards
Erik

    Anti-seizure compound on spark plugs? V70-XC70 2000

I just coat the treads with some motor oil and have never had a problem. I only leave plugs in for 3 years max.

    Anti-seize compound OK V70-XC70 2000

I have always use them on all my cars. Never has problem.

Just a little dab along the groove on the spark plug, Avoid touching the tip.

(The amount used should be approx. equivalent to a drop of water, no more)

    Hope this helps.
