size turbo on a 850 turbo wagon 850

what size turbo comes on an 850 "turbo" wagon that is not "GLT". because the 2.3L is used whenever i see a description for a "turbo" wagon, i figure it is a t5. if this is the case, which it may not be, does that mean that the "turbo" wagons come with 222 hp?

can these be brought up to power spec of a T5-R (240 hp)?

The 850 turbo designation says 222hp. The newer GLT with light turbos and 2.4L engines have around 200hp. The R has 240hp.
If you want to boost an 850 turbo to 280hp, try some of the speed shops. Just beware that the rest of the drivetrain may not be able to handle that much power, like the tranny.

When I got my new exhaust, one of the volvo parts suppliers had manifold back exhaust and K&N air filter along with a new computer, so with about $2100 I could have had gobbs of power. Then I wondered what would happen to my tranny when I lowered the throttle...
