What should be the RPM needle be at Idle on a 850 turbo.. 850

My 850 turbo is idling at 1000 rpm in park and was wondering if this common..i have noticed that while driving that car is reving a little higher also and takes time to bring the rpm down even if i lift my foot off the gas..

is this a problem.

thanks

mine idles at 950 so yours sounds in the acceptable range.
You cant adjust it. just make sure all vacuum lines are good.
the only thing that mine does is at startup goes to 1800 for 4 seconds and goes back to 950. cant figure that one out. some people say its normal for a turbo others not.

My car idles @ around 950 or so as well. Every car I've ever owned has started up to higher rpms, and then settled down to normal. I think it's just to get things up and going. Some cars I've owned (Japanese) keep revs high for some time if it's cold out to warm the engine up. I have not noticed my Volvo doing that though.
