Just re-set the trip odometer on the wife's 850 and after driving it about 2 or 3 miles I noticed that it had not moved. Any suggestions as what could have failed?? I've never had a cable go bad in the 40 years of driving so if any one has any ideas what it could be I would appreciate them.

82-260gle/185k (biggest piece of crap made,Peugot drivetrain),83-240/213k(long gone,85-740/over 300k(still going in central america),92-940/229k(my everyday car), and now 97-850/84k.
