2004 V70 Eurorails Install

I just purchased a set used of roof rails for my 04 V70. Has anyone ever installed them before? Do I need to cut the rubber trim\molding on the roof? I'm guessing I do but I'm not sure where to make the cuts. I can use the rail as as guide and probably figure it out but any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I installed roof rails and a rear wing on my wagon last summer. The rails are quite easy to install and come with very specific instructions. As the other respondant noted, you must remove and cut the roof trim pieces. New mounting clips are supplied. If you are careful and read the instructions thoroughly, it is a pretty easy job, I spent a couple of hours doing the first side, then mounted the second side in less than 1/2 hour.

Yes you have to cut the upper mouldings and you can use the Euro rail as a guide.Be sure to leave about two inches of the mouldings under the rail, dont cut them flush.
