Oil Filter Wrench

Will the same filter wrench work on a 98 S70 with a spin on filter and a 2004 V70 with a cartridge filter?

    Nope, but you should be able to tighten and loosen the 98 spin on by hand. I've changed the oil in my V70 over a dozen times, and have never had to use a wrench, and I have never had a problem. My Volvo Indy does it the same way.
