squeak from R/F 2000 V40 S40-V40

Hi,

I need help to find the source of the squeak.

I have this squeak/chirp coming from the right front of my V40. I thought it was from the dashboard until I lower the window and heard it from the outside.
this noise can only be heard after driving for awhile, like more than 20 mins or so. It can be heard on any road surface, but it is also in sync with bumps and the seams on the road. Interestingly, the noise will come and go. It is rhythmic sometime and last for a long time when I drive on the highway. It becomes very annoying. Of cource, the noise cannot be reproduced when the technician was checking it out. Did any V/S40 owner experience similar? Can anyone point out any possible cause? Thanks in advance.

Danny

I HAVE A 2002 S40T ,JUST GOT IT AND NOTICED A NOISE ON THE RIGHT SIDE THAT SEEMED TO COME FROM THE DASHBOARD, NEAR THE SPEAKER. IT WAS LOUD ENOUGH THAT IT COULD BE HEARD OVER THE RADIO BEING ON. A POSSIBLE CAUSE WAS THE WIRES THAT RUN ALONG THE ENGINE BAY VIBRATING, CLICKING TOGETHER AS YOU MOVE ALONG. IT DID NOT DO IT IN IDLE. SINCE I REPLACED A REAR TYRE AND HAD THE FRONT WHEELS ALIGNED, OR HAVE JUST BECOME DESENSITIED TO IT, BECAUSE I HAVE NOT NOTICED IT WHEN LISTENING OUT FOR IT LATELY!

CHEERS
