I went with IPD on the same car as yours. I've had the upgrade since March 2003 and have been very happy with it.

Thanks for the message, did you install it yourself, is it as easy as they are saying, put the new ECU in and just go? any further tune up needed? thx

I installed it myself. There is a tool that they send you that's used to remove the ECU. Very straightforward. Nothing further needed. Just drop it in and go.

I also put on the IPD Exhaust. I also did that myself, but that part is much more involved.

Not sure how the subject line got changed in my previous post. That's pretty wild.

I did not compare IPD to Powerchip and really didn't consider anything else. I had been doing business with IPD for many years and trusted their judgement regarding the tuning. The other guys were all an unknown to me.

You'll get quite a few answers on here...but I went with iPd and have been happy for the most part. While iPd may be just about the most expensive option out there, they've been around the longest and I trust their products.

One thing I will not recommend are the use of Magnecore spark plug wires that a lot of people will recommend. Mine burnt out after only 25K.

    Good luck!
