Trim on side of car, and front wheel well splash guards 850

Not being able to find Forever Black in my area, I bought some Mothers "Back to Black" to restore the trim on my bumpers, side trim, and front wheel well splash guards.

My question(s) is/are: can the trim and splash guards be removed so I don't get any of the restoration material on the body's paint, and if so, is a special tool needed to remove the side trim, or does it just snap off? I want to start on this small project this coming Monday or Tuesday (7/19-7/20).

Regarding splash guards; are they available for the rear wheel wells as well? (not just for looks, but in consideration of other motorists on the road)

Randy

Most of those trim pieces are factory installed with plastic clips .that
are good for only one use and can't be reused.
Unless you want to buy all new clips

Oh I forgot, you cannot remove the front splash guards as they are riveted in. The reason I know is because I had to replace a rivet when my wife took out the splash guard in a snow bank.

Rivets can be drilled out, yes?

The side trim cannot be removed as it is glued. Regarding rear splash guards, they are worth the investment - just stick with Volvo's which screw right in. In the meantime I would use cheap masking tape to protect the body.
