OBD 2 code PO505 / Check Engine warning light V70-XC70 2000

I have a OBD 2 code reader which when the engine warning light comes on ( every other day ) gives me a PO 505 which in the generic section of the code reader manual gives me: Idle control system malfunktion.

Any Ideas how to repair or what to test?

I subscribe to ALL DATA for this car but their PO code section does not cover code 505?

The car starts and runs well. It does however have a lot of play in the acelerator pedal which cant be adjusted as far as I know since it is a senor and not a cable driven accelerator.

    This MAY be covered under the Emissions warranty. Check with your dealer. The ETS light on my 99 V70T5 came on, which can only mean a failed throttle body or a failed accelrator pedal potentiometer. Even though the car had over 50,000 miles, they replaced the throttle body under the emissions warranty because the car had less than 80,000 miles.
