Rough S80 Shifts S80

I am getting a shudder or what I would describe as a noticeably rough 2-1 downshift in my 03 S80 non-turbo. It happens just as the car rolls to a stop. I've also noticed rough 1-2 upshifts on hard acceleration. Any ideas about this?

hi,
probably a software issue,i have done the auto trans s/w reloads on s80's and they can make a hell of a difference. but if your cars under warrenty let volvo sort it out for you.

Thanks. I've done the software upgrade. WOW! What a difference. The car runs as smooth as silk. Thanks again.

If problem presists you may need a STH solenoid.
