O2 Sensor Change V70-XC70 1998

"According to Volvo Cars of North America, Inc., in order to prevent contamination from reaching reference air, the new adapter wiring must be installed for both oxygen sensors when one oxygen sensor is replaced."


I'm not sure I understand the above statement. I have the P0325 Bank 1 Fault Code which I understand to be a malfunction in the O2 Sensor before the catalytic converter. I plan to change the O2 sensor. What is this "new adapter wiring?"
