S80 feul door lock S80

The fuel door on my S80 will not open.
It has doen this before,I took it to dealer and they opened it.
Does anyone know of an override proceedure or what the dealer does to open the stuck door?

    Did you lock and then unlock the doors when it does that. If you accidently push down the lock button on the driver-side door, the gas cover may not open.

    there should be a wire in the trunk you can pull... i know there is on my 96 850 but i dont know about the newer ones

      Pull back the trunk lining on the right side and put your hand about where the fuel fill door is. You will fell as small solenoid/plunger that moves very easily by touch.

      As stated their is a wire that opens the fuel door inside the trunk. The problem is a rubber gromet in the pin on the door. It is a common problem if it's still under warranty let the dealer do it.
