turn signal problem S80 2000

Hi,

My girlfriend just got a 2000 S80 and the turn signal switch does not work as of yesterday...First hot day we have had in Milwaukee this year....I noticed the flashers DO work. I also cannot see any messages when I press the button on the end of the stalk. Didn't check brights but read somewhere they might not be working either.

Can anyone recommend if I should get the module software upgrade or if this is symptomatic of something else!..

A recommended course of action is appreciated!!

    Try pulling the fuse for the steering wheel module for a couple of minutes, then reinstall. If function returns, see about gettint the software upgrade. The fuse will be in the dashboard fuse panel, drivers side.
