S80 T6 won't start S80 1999

Tried to start after a month of not using it. Battery seems OK, all the lights shine bright. You can hear the starter but the cyliders don't seem to be firing.

Any ideas, anyone or should i have it towed to the dealer.

S80 T6 won't start S80 1999

Hi,
I don't know if this is the same but my 1999 S-80 T6, after repairing it's transmission did not want to start. It would crank but not start. It took 3 weeks & 3 different mechanic shops to find that it was the battery cable running over the speed sensor. As the car got older the electrical field in the battery cable grew & interferred with the speed sensor. The tach would jump. The speed sensor told the car that it was already started. The battery cable was lengthend & now does not cross over the engine. It works just fine now. Good Luck, Sandy When the dealer gave up I almost had it towed to a junkyard.

before you have it towed hook up a battery charger, and crank the car over for a couple of minutes to restore the oil in the lifters so that you have compression. good luck!!!

Thanks for the replies.

Gave it up and had it towed and drove it back home form the dealer. Dealer didn't find anything wrong.

Guess it likes the dealer better than me.
