Firewall hole ? S70

I am trying to install an aftermarket trailer wiring harness module, which says to run a wire from the trunk to the battery. Could I go through an existing hole in the firewall, and how would I find the hole ? Any other ideas how to most easily route the wire ?

the s70 should be similar to the 850...it should be under the master brake fluid reservior...

on the inside, it is under the dash, above and left of the brake pedal... removing the panel under the steering wheel would make it easier to see. wire the rest of the wire thru the side of the interior trim
