blower motor resistor pack 850 1995

Please forgive my ignorance but... can someone tell me where I can find the blower motor resistor pack and what it looks like? Speeds 1-3 of the blower are not working and I checked the fuse and it's OK. By reading other posts on this subject, I assume it's probably the resistor pack that's bad. Following the instructions on Bay 13, I gained access to the area where (I think) the resistor pack should be but I'm not sure what it looks like and I haven't picked up a new one yet to use as a reference. I was assuming it would be some sort of in-line device located on one (or more) of the wires heading to the blower motor itself but I don't see anything like that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just remember, if your resistor pack died, something probably killed it. Most likely, the blower motor is starting to bind up, and eventually, it will probably sieze and quit working all together. If you don't have ACC, then the resistor pack is much cheeper. I would go ahead and replace it, but keep in the back of your mind that it will probably fail much sooner that the original one.

good luck,
Stuart

There is another post somewhere about this. There are two relays, mebbe behind the glove box(?). One is for wide open fan, the other is for all the lower levels. If wide open is ok and none of the other levels work, I would look for the relay b4 the resistor pack.

Good luck.
