CODE 1-2-2 ON THE B2 SIDE....CAN'T CLEAR 850 1995

I've cleared off all my codes except the 1-2-2 on the B2 side. I tried the Haynes book way (which only shows for the A side) and I tried the custom clearing method from "Chrissij" and that didn't work either....sorry Chris.
Any suggestions and what exactly is the 1-2-2 on the B2 side anyway....

Thanks for your help

    CODE 1-2-2 ON THE B2 SIDE....CAN'T CLEAR 850 1995

My cruise died a while back and I scoured the vacuum lines, got a B2-122, and checked the break pedal sw. The 122 code is normal. If there are other problems, there will be more codes so don't try to clear it.
Anyway, I gave up on Monday and went to the dealer. The break sw had died. It works much better with the new part. Wish my wallet didn't hurt so much.

    CODE 1-2-2 ON THE B2 SIDE....CAN'T CLEAR 850 1995

122 means no speed signal to the cruise, which is hard if the car is not moving. don't worry about it. drive the car and then check for the code without turning off the car. good luck, chuck.

    CODE 1-2-2 ON THE B2 SIDE....CAN'T CLEAR 850 1995

B2 = Cruise control (Also pin 13 in OBDII connector 96>)

Note, cruise control codes are reset (except 1-2-2) when you turn off the ignition. You will never clear code 1-2-2.

Code 1-2-2 = Vehicle speed has not exceeded 22mph for 15 seconds or no speed signal.

So to see which of the possibilities it is you need to run the car above 22 mph for more than 15 seconds and read the codes without switching off the ignition.

The cruise control ECU is in the panel for relays under dash drivers side.

The usual cause of failure is that the brake pedal switch has come loose from it's mounting.

Nor will you be able to clear it if A1 (transmission) has a similar code.

      CODE 1-2-2 ON THE B2 SIDE....CAN'T CLEAR 850 1995

I took the car out for a Sunday drive to our local gathering spot..where everyone must end up at least once a week....Super WalMart....and during the drive I tried the cruise control....no luck as I figured. Before shutting the engine off I plugged into the B2 socket and ran the code. It was 1-1-1, meaning all is OK. Now, after turning the car off and going back to recheck the code, it's still reading 1-2-2. I'll see if I can find an ECU from the brickyard sometime soon and retry the cruise. Also, I checked the brake switch atop the brake pedal and it was secure.

      More later.....Thanks.

    CODE 1-2-2 ON THE B2 SIDE....CAN'T CLEAR 850 1995

122 will always appear on socket B-2 unless you first drive the car over 35kph, then check codes BEFORE switching off the engine. This code only indicates a problem if it remains after driving/checking. It is for the road speed signal to the cruise system.
