Automatic gearboxes in '01-'04 V70s V70-XC70 2001

Are the PNP switches in the current-generation V70s prone to failure as in the 850s? (i.e. Do they need to be constantly replaced?)

Though I've never thought about it, I don't recal there being a button to push on our '04 V70 to get it out of park like we had on the 850. Not sure if there is that switch on these or not, so not sure if there would be an issue. Not heard of it being a problem from what I've read here or Swedespeed. If I'm ignorant about this, someone please correct me.
