idler pulley removal 850 1993

I am trying to r&r the idler belt pulley on my 1993 850 n/a. There is nearly no room between the pulley bolt and the inside of the engine bay. I can't fit any sort of socket in there, so I am trying to use a 12mm open end wrench but can't seem to get enough torque to budge it. Is it standard procedure to use lock-tite on these? Should I first heat it with a torch or will this damage something else? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Find some 3/4" key stock you will need a piece about 1 1/4" long then you can use a 3/4" openend to turn it.
