In Bay13 instructions for doing rear brakes he mentions
the blue rotor pictured may cause brake vibrations.
What is cause of the rotor to get the bluish tint?

What causes Blue Rotors ? 850

Check the exhaust pipe on a motorcycle near the cylinder. They are blue. The heat generated by your brakes can make the disks turn red hot, like an electric burner on a stove. When metal gets this hot it is easy to bend. That's why torque is so important when tightning lug nuts, if one nut is too tight - warp.
