Help with purchase V70-XC70

Good Morning

Needing a little advice wrt the V70. I am contemplating either purchasing a 2002 V70 with 54000 kms or a 2001 V70 2.4T with 64000 KMs. Both have full maintenance records and are local cars up here in BC. I am torn over the power issue. Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

Really more of a personal decision... but I have owned turbo and non-turbo. Maybe I'm just not a "race car" driver, but I don't find anything missing from the performance of my non-turbo. And turbos are expensive to repair when/if they break! So personally I would go for the newer & lower milage non-turbo. But I bet either car will be great.

I like the thought of a 2002 over a 2001 but being the owner of 01 non-turbo I might go for the turbo if I was in your shoes.

IMO newer is better, so I would go with the 2002 as long as you are satisfied with the power of the na engine.

If the price is about the same, I would go for the turbo.

The nonturbo engine is powerful enough, but you'll regret not getting a turbo.

Did you feel the difference in power when you drove the NA vs turbo.

Get the turbo! When the foot is fat, that's where it's at. They really are very versatile engines. Drive them easy and get very good mileage. Push the pedal down and leave now. Even my wife appreciates the difference when merging into traffic.

Besides, you will stun the souped up rice rockets that you pass.
