A/C recharge 850 1993

Is there any way you can recharge the A/C system yourself on the 850s? I'm wondering if I can just get some parts/materials and do it myself, is that possible? (i.e. freon, etc)

    A/C recharge 850 1993

I charged my 93 every year, its easy dyi job,

you need to buy a r 143a recharge kit and follow the directions.
it cost about 30 bucks the cans of r134a are around 6 bucks.
the kit comes with stop leak r134a combo(large can),

it comes with a gauge and presure fitting with a little twist valve

make sure you hook up to the low side, if you are blowing hot air
you will need two cans, I am sure your evap is leaking but
it may be super slow like mine, two the three cans a year
got me throught the hot season in upstate NY

    good luck

Do a search on this site for lots of threads on this issue.

I used the InterDynamics AC Recharge kit which included a pressure gauge and a can of R134a. I also used a rubber sealant and metal sealant for the infamous evaporator leak.

Be careful not to overcharge the system.
