A/C noise S70 1999

When the a/c is on and running in our '99 S70 (base), there is an intermittent ticking noise that happens about every 10 seconds. I hear it only when it's on, and on fan speeds 1 or 2. Any ideas as to what the noise might be? Also, I can hear it from the two center vents above the HVAC controls, nowhere else.

    Juan: I have the same problem. I have a 99 T5M and the AC makes that same ticking noise every ten seconds. Actually, the noise only seems to happen when the car is in motion. Sitting at idle at a stop light, no noise. Get moving at 10 mph, click, click, click. It's going into the shop next week and they're looking at this problem as well. I'll let you know what they say.

    it's the ac compressor turning on and off, probably you're low on freon which leads to constant cycling of the compressor.

    Recharge with a 12 oz can of R134a.
