Cabin Air Filter V70-XC70 1998

The manual calls for replacement every 20k miles.

The filter is easily accessible but the after market unit (made by CORTECO, W. Germany) does not quite match the original. The original is in a black plastic
housing, the after market one is without the housing. Is the after market unit
to be installed as is or a housing is necessary. It seems to that the manner in
which the original filter is glued to the housing the housing was not meant for re-use. Any comments, suggestions.

Thanks.

I installed a Mann cabin filter in that area without any problem. See if your filter fits the space snuggly, if it does then you're OK, remember you need the filter section not the housing.
