Fuel Filter Replacement V70-XC70 1999

Hello, almost done with the 60K service. Fuel filter has different connectors than I'm used to. Have done the banjo bolts of 240's. Bay 13 says "To remove the connectors pull in the direction of the green arrow, holding connector, it is hard but it will come off." Haynes says "Disconnect the quick release couplings using a 17mm spanner to push back the coupling sleeves". I don't have nor do I know what a 17 mm spanner is. Am I getting worried for nothing.
The car is on jacks til the weekend, so I can disconnect everything one evening and replace the fuel filter the next. That way, I can avoid needing a gas mask because by the second nite the gas fumes have dissapated. Any help with the disconnect would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks guys, fuel filter was a piece of cake with the quick connectors. You just have to yank them hard. I even put some tape around the connectors like original. The Bay 13 site was also helpful with the pix.

I believe the '99 and newer fuel filter have the easy disconnect sleeves that you squeze and pull at the connector at the same time to disengage.

'98 and older don't have the quick disconnect. You can use a 17mm open wrench and with the help of the wrench push the connector away from the filter. At least that was the tip from ipdusa.com
