Axle boot or CV boot? 850 1995

Hi Everyone,

My mechanic has indicated I need new inner and outer "Axle Boots". Being a mechanincal dunce, can I assume that what he is refering to as an "Axle Boot" is actually a CV Boot?

      I agree. But get the entire rebuilt axle which includes both the inner and outer boot. Cost for the part is about $80. Don't let him just put one boot on the existing axle. You will have to do the other soon. I got a rebuilt one with lifetime warranty for about $80. Labor to install was 2 hours.
