Hub centric rings on aftermarket wheels, help?! 850

Hi.

I need help with a 1997 Volvo 850 I purchased, unfortunately, it came with aftermarket wheels.

Seems I need a missing "hub centric ring" but do not know the size (mm).

If anyone has gone through this I would greatly appreciate a response. The wheels now have five holes as opposed to four.

Thanks

I was hoping the ring size would have more to do with the size hub on the Volvo as opposed to the manufacturer of the wheels, for example, if all 850's required the same ring. The wheels seem to be discontinued, can't find them anywhere.

The wheels are called MIM.

Thanks.

Having only dealt with one set of aftermarket wheels for an 850, I don't know if the ring is the same for all, it might be. The rings might also be designed to adapt specific wheels to fit the 850 hub, in which case they could vary from wheel to wheel. I don't imagine they would be that expensive. You might try calling customer service at either tires.com or tirerack.com and they might be able to tell you. You might have to accurately measure the inner diameter of your wheel so they can try to match it.

Good Luck!

If you can identify the manufacturer and model of the aftermarket wheel, you may be able to locate a reseller on the web, such as www.tires.com or www.tirerack.com. They may be willing to sell you the ring(s). I purchased Borbet wheels from Tirerack and they came with the type of rings you are referring to. The 850 wheel is designed to put the load from the wheel on the hub, rather than the wheel bolts. Without the ring, the aftermarket wheel may stress the bolts and bolt holes in the wheel.

Good luck.
