removal back seat headrest S70 1998

I bought two booster seats for the back seats in my 98 S70.
The headrests are preventing the booster seat backs to rest
directly on the back of seat. Are the headrests removable
by a kind-of-handy owner?

I can prabably just insert some padding in the gaps.

    Vadis instructions for removal detail inserting an awl through the upholstery 4" below the base of the headrest to press the catches, and release the headrest. This is done from the back side.

      Thanks bob for letting me know that it could be done.
      What's the tool called "awl"? If I don't need a special
      tool, I'll probably cut the back fabric for access, and
      sew it back when done.
