850 Roof Rails

I had the common peeling roof rail problem. I took the rails off, sanded them down and painted them. When I put them back on, apparently I didn't get the end clip on tight enough. Its probably out lying on the freeway somewhere. So I'm wondering if it is possible to just buy the end clip, or do I have to buy the whole rail to get the end clip? Also, for those of you that have done the roof rail replacement, how did you get that thing to stay on? Did you use some sort of adhesive?

    Yes end pieces are available. (cheap). Was it difficult to remove rails?Mine are peeling also.

      Where can you order the end pieces? Dealer?

      Removal was very easy. The rails snap into place on the roof of the car. Gently pry them away with something that won't damage your roof paint. I found it difficult to get back on only because I slightly bent the end of the roof rail - thats probably how I lost the end clip. I don't think that my paint job was as good as new, but it certainly looks a whole lot better than the cracked rails that were there before!
