The gas door has been sticking on the '95 850. It locks but won't unlock. After recycling with the remote (which hardly works) it will unlock. Simply manually locking and unlocking the doors doesn't seem to do it. Any ideas?

Have you observed the lock action with the fuel door open?

Two of my '95 850s had the same fuel door problem. Take a bright flashlight and look at the lock pin inside the recess in the fuel door. Both of mine had a poorly installed rubber grommet. Sadly, I did not notice the first one before I removed the motor - a mean task in a wagon!

I was able to fix the problem with a dental pic, if yours are the same, I'm sure you can find a suitable tool.

Both of mine have been working for more than a year.

Open the trunk and then the access panel to the passenger side tail lights. You should see a hook above the tail light connectors. Pull it to release the gas filler door...

You need a gas door lock switch.
