Air Pump S70 1998

My air pump code (secondary Air induction) came up about a week ago, I am in the process of getting a part in but i wont be here till after my trip down south. You think it is safe to drive 13 hours? I am worried it will cause more damage to my car, but I just am not sure. Anyone with any input it would be great to get some feed back, thanks.

I've had this problem for over 2 years. The parts (air pump & valve)are over $300. The car runs fine as is. The othe post is correct the pump only operates when it's cold for a few seconds.

The air pump works only during start up for about 20 seconds to injust air to bring down emmissions. It will not harm your car to have this problem. it is a common problem and occurs because of the position of the air pump. see bay 13
for information on replacement.
