Hot air drivers side, cold air passenger side 850

This morning coming in to work with only me in the car and both temperature guages set to the same, the drivers side started blowing out extremely hot air and the passenger side what seemed like ambient air from outside.

I then turned the a/c on and the passenger side started blowing out colder air, and the drivers side continued with the extremely hot.

The system is obviously confused, but what's the likely culprit?

Assuming you have the ECC (electronic climate control)option, one of the sensors have failed. You'll have to read the fault code to find out which one.
