Help with dash wires. S70

Does anyone know which of the color-coded wire(s) controls the "icon" lights on any of the dash mounted switches? Ex. rear defroster, foglight, sunroof switches. I am trying to isolate just the wire that powers the tiny bulbs in any of these switches. Is there a color-coded ground wire to go along with the above question?
Thanks for any help.

The pink wire to those switches is for night illumination. There is not a special ground return wire.

Thank you nOv8or for the help.
I'll give it a try this week.
My Volvo does not have the 'Home Link' option and I am trying to wire in my garage door transmitter with a spare dash switch. That way, the transmitter is hidden and the dash mounted switch will activate the transmitter. I just need to know which color-coded wire will light up the 'icon' on the Volvo dash switch.
      I hope that it works.

Your transmitter will probably lose some range when mounted in a location other than just behind the windshield. You may want to test it in various hidden locations before going to the effort of wiring a remote switch. By the way, I found aftermarket replacement transmitters to have better range.
