Rocker Moulding 850 1996

My dad drove my car to NYC and on the way back he got a flat ans drove on it which basically shredded the tire. and broke the rocker moulding in half and busted the wheel liner and the mud flap. how is the rocker held together? i see little round clips or rivits or something along the bottom of the rocker. what are they ?
thanks in advance

If I understand what you say is this rocker panel runs from wheel well to wheel well the top is held in place by double faced tape. I am not sure about the bottom edge. If you need a replacement I have both sides.

They are the clips that hold the wheel liner and moldings onto the car.
If you look at the other side you will see what I mean.
