no heat, fuse? 850 1996

i posted a message yesterday about blower fan for heat and ac not blowing but heat is comming out of vents. cvould it be as simple as a fuse? i havent had a chance to check yet due to my busy work schedual this week. i was going to start ripping the dash apart today after work. i really need all possible problems to check overf before i go buy new fan. thanks, kelly

i have had same problem. the dealer said i needed a new blower and a new resistor. total cost about $500 including labor. note: there are two kinds of resistors, one is for auto climate control, the other is for manual climate control. i did check my fuses before going to dealer, they were ok.

I had the same problem. There are two fuses, one for fan speeds 1-3 the other
for fan speed 4. Initially my fuse on 1-3 was blown, (caused by a bad resistor).

I'm sure there's a fuse you can check and there's also the 'ol blower motor resistor I think I've heard mentioned on the board too, although I don't know where it is(but someone will!). But anyway, if you blower motor was making lots of noise, ....chances are, that's still your most likely problem. Hope it all works out for the best!($$$)
