I have a weird problem with my s80. Occasionally when I go to fill up at the service station I start pouring gas and after a few litres it flows back out like if was clogged. When this happens, the only way to get it going is to start the car and drive around a bit. Obviously, everytime I have gone to the dealer with this problem they could not reproduce the problem. Anyone has any idea?

How often do you get a check emissions system/service warning...that will sometimes clear itself, too?
I'm having both problems at the present, yours not as often as the latter. the fuel stoppage eventually quit after about 4 or 5 consevutive restarts of the fueling.
If the damn thing wasn't so comfortable, I'd be getting upset with it.

I'm guessing it happens at the same gas station? The gas filler obviously doesn't like the nozzle from the pump and/or the nozzle has a faster then normal output. Next time, just put your hand on the rear fender and push the car down a few times to "shake up" the gas inside. I do this when filling right up. It eliminates any air vacumns...

I never thought of this but it is true that I mostly go to the same gas station. I also never had a problem elsewhere but that could be also because I rarely go anywhere else for a fill up ;-). In any case I will try your suggestion when it happens again.
