Great Tires for you Turbo 850 850

I just replaced my Turbo's tires with Toyo Proxes 4. I am very impressed

1. Great road handling and quiet.

2. I am in Cincinnati and live in a hilly area. We got snow this morning. I was a little concerned about my drive to work. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the tires gripped the road in the crappy conditions. I had Kumho Z rated tires before- the car may as well have been rear wheel drive.

They are great in water too- if you are looking for a well-rounded sport tire, Proxes 4 are the call.

Just put a set of Proxes 4 on my t-5 too, about 4 weeks ago, and while I like the ride and handling I find them to be real whiners especially when the pavement is wet. Mine cost a little more than $550 mounted, balanced and siped.

    Steve.

Gee, funny you should post this today. I live in Columbus and almost took out another car with my 1995 850 Turbo this morning. I also had difficulty making it up small hills. (I used to live in Cincy and these were nothing like the hills down there) I've been spending alot of time today thinking about what my next set of tires will be. Thanks for an option to consider.

I have the Michelin Pilot Sport All season tires on my 96 854T. Expensive, but totally awesome winter or summer, wet or dry. Best tires I have ever driven. Probably worth the money.

Through tirerack.com I bought 4 new Kumho 716 Ecstas for my '95 855t (I put 15" wheels on it) and love them. Quiet, no hydroplaning like the BS RE730s I took off, smooth riding and responsive enough for this commuter/traveller. I can actually hear the engine now! The 730s made such a racket I couldn't stand them anymore.

Best part? They were under $40 each. I liked them so much I put them on my 745t also.

      Cheers,
