Please help: Electronic ghost in my car. S80 2000

My -00 S80 T6 has been invaded by the electronic ghost!

This is what I've got:

1. No ignition when turning key to on pos, The whole cluster is dead, engine
does not start.
2. No head or tail lights, horn or whipers.
3. RH powerseat works fine with key on.
4. The little red lights on the front door edges stays on all the time, the rear ones are dead.
5. The stereo plays with the key on.
6. With key on, there is a humming from the engine compartment that
quits about 15 sec. after key is returned to off. (normal operation)

Could it be the Central Elecronics Module? If yes, where is it located
and what does it take to change it out. Software download?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
/Thomas

    No ghost .... S80 2000

Before guessing and throwing parts at it, just have it towed to a Volvo dealer where they'll read codes and thus know exactly what's wrong.
S80s and newer '99 on up Volvos are not exactly DIY cars anymore.

I know, but the dealer is two hours away and I was just
fishing for info from someone that might have experienced
the same thing or a Volvo tech that might be able to lead
      me in the right direction.
Ultimately it might be a trailer trip to the dealer.
      Thanks
      Thomas

I would first look at all relays that are turned on
when you turn the ignition key switch to the "ON" position.

I suspect either a bad relay (1st choice) or bad switch on
the back of the (ignition key switch). If the relay activation
terminal does not get 12volts when you turn on the key,
it is likely a bad switch.
