Turbo boost pressure 850

I have 95 854T. What is the maximum boost pressure for stock turbo? 8psi? I installed digital boost gauge and only showed 6psi max.

.7 Bar which is more like 10 psi.

Ray, recently you responded to a post having to do with adjusting the wastegate per the AllData TSB as issued by Volvo. I know that you said that you subscription has expired, but do you have any suggestions how/where I should look on the AllData index.
I have a current subscription for my '96 850 Turbo but could not find the Volvo issued bulletin that you mentioned. Thanks for any suggestion/direction that you can provide. Fred.

        Hi Freed,

I still have not re-newed. I don't recall if it was a TSB or just
part of a service procedure that was listed. I do recall it listed
different settings for different versions of the turbo engine so it
        was not year specific.

I've read in other posts that IPD has the procedure posted at
www.ipdusa.com and they tell you how to do it with common tools.

If I remember right the stock turbo is capable of 12-14 psi. If you haven't done the IPD waste-gate arm adjustment deal to your waste-gate it opens way prematurely and allows most of the boost to escape. Go search the IPD site for proper adjustment technique using a pressure gauge to adjust the arm. Adjust it so the waste-gate stays closed to 8-9 psi so you'll actually get the full advantage of having a turbo in the first place. Good luck.
