drilling to drain a line V70-XC70

Apologies for my vagueness. Someone wrote about drilling some line as preventative maintenance on some pump/line.I not find the subject in the history. Does anyone remember?

If you have an airpump some have suggested drilling a hole in the bottom to let any water drain out.
