throttle body question V70-XC70

Ok- throttle body on a 1999 V70, base engine 2.4L, no turbo. It looks like earlier TB's used a cable to activate, what about these newer puppies? motor, magic or ?. I understand SU's after living with 2 122s (now one) since 1967.
Thanks or point me to a site.
cheers

    throttle body question V70-XC70

Throttle body contains a motor and potentiometer. It is controlled by the ECM via input from the throttle pedal position sensor.

      throttle body question V70-XC70

Bill, thanks for info. I delved in google and did a search for "electronic throttle systems". The best one was for the new Corvette. After slogging thru
much pages of info/crap I decided that the SU's are the way to go. Just kidding,or am I?. Anyway yes the gas pedal goes to either a hall sensor or a pot to the ECM, then that via the motor controls the throttle plate and feedback
provided back to ECM by the pot. Its been very interesting to research this, you should see some replys I received, are these people on the same planet? Thanks to you and others on this Brickboard, the info is much appreciated.
