Has anyone found a good service manual for the S40? Are the CDs on ebay any good? Also, how difficult is it to replace the front brakes? Bay 13 shows the rear brakes, but nothing on the front.
Thanks

I believe there are no written manuals for '98 and newer volvos.
I have a genuine original volvo vadis 2001 dvd that covers your vehicle.
If you're interested email me privately.

Cheers,

Oh sorry I forgot the brake bit of the query.
The fronts are a piece of cake, you just take one caliper bolt out and swivel the caliper on the other one and remove the pads.

Hi there,
The cd's are a waste of time BUT the vadis dvd is the one to go for.
There is everything you will ever need on it.
It has a full parts list and all updates and exploded veiws etc.
The only thing is ,it can take 2 hours + to load depending on your computer speed, and needs about 3-4 gig of disc space.
If you get one I can give you a fix to save keep swapping the date.
