And whats been your biggest expense? Mine has 130K and the trani is now acting up....looks like she's gonna need one. Others?

    I've got a 99 V70 AWD with ~106,000 miles. No major problems...my tranny shifts hard around 25,000-30,000 miles after replacing tranny fluid. Regular tranny fluid changes with synthetic returns smooth shifting and extends the miles until the next hard-shifting.

    I have had random suspension noise from the front and back end over the years. Volvo dealer couldn't figure it out...replaced springs and spring seats more than once but no change. It's not a performance issue, just an annoying noise. Hope it goes away when I replace/upgrade the suspension. Anyone had similar issues?

    You asked for 1998 owners. I am going to sneak in with a reply although my car is a 1997.

    I have 182k km on the odometer.
    Biggest single item thus far was the evaporator. Next to that, the drive shaft (propeller shaft) that I had replaced last week.

      Can't match you big guys . I am 124 kilo. Biggest expense has been a door actuator and a rear end seal.We love the car though

        1999 V70R AWD with 111548, belongs to the Mrs.
        1998 V70R AWD with 88670, mostly highway miles
        1998 V70R AWD with 63K, "t-boned" still runs great, summer only
