What is the brand replacement for the stock Volvo oil filter, the white one?.... 850 1997

What is the brand replacement for the stock Volvo oil filter, the white one?.... 850 1997

The OEM is Mann and they are usually available at most stores that specialize in foreing car parts or you can find them on the internet at places like FCP Groton ($33.00/case of 10). You probably won't find them at Pep Boys, AutoZone and the like. The Mann filters have a check valve to prevent drainage from the filter, but that may not matter in the 850 due to the mounting position of the oil filter.

There is a Mobil 1 version of the 850 filter also. Expensive, like Mobil 1 oil, but I've read some good things about it and use it exclusively.

1996 850 Turbo, 80K miles

Autozone, Checker--generally any parts shop that also carries Mobil 1 Oil
